Keystone Boys State –  week long program sponsored by the PA American Legion takes place at Shippensburg University June 18 – 24, 2017

Penn State's Conservation Leadership School – If your ideal classroom includes over 700 acres of forest, fields, wetlands and streams, then this is for you!  2017 dates are June 25 – July 1 or July 9 – 15.   The Fayette County Conservation District is offering a full scholarship worth $525.00 to attend this program.    You can return to Mrs. Baker by April 14 or mail directly to Conservation District Office by April 19.

Fallingwater Photography Workshop

Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week –  "PFEW is a unique & challenging program that provides a hands-on opportunity to learn about our free enterprise system".  Students can chose from five different weeks and locations.  Fayette county students can attend this program tuition free, thanks to generous donations from local businesses and the Eberly Foundation.  Final application deadline is April 7, 2017.

Freddie Fu Sports Medicine Scholarship Program –  applications must be postmarked by April 22, 2017.

Wildlife Leadership Academy – Students can chose the Summer Field School that matches their specific interest.    

CSI Camp – Waynesburg University June 18 – 23, 2017.

The Phoenix Arts Center –  Local art, music and drama classes.

Introduction to Athletic Training – August 1 and 2, 2017 – Sponsored by UPMC Sports Medicine, this annual workshop is ideal for students who are interested in a career i athletic training or who wish enhance the skills they use daily in their high school athletic training rooms.

Now Hiring: Pennsylvania Outdoor Corps – Summer Crews

Ten Pennsylvania Outdoor Corps Summer Program offers young people, ages 15 to 18, the opportunity to serve on a team completing conservation projects to conserve, enhance and restore Pennsylvania's public lands.  Jon a crew of 10 members and two leaders working on trail maintenance, habitat restoration, vegetation management, park maintenance, light construction and more.  Environmental educational and job skills trainings are also provided.  De note that the work can be physically demanding and takes place outdoors in all weather conditions.

Dates July 27, 2017 – August, 2017 (6 weeks)
Hours full-Time, 37.5 hours per week
Compensation $10.15, transportation, breakfast, and lunch is provided

Falling water has job openings.  All positions are part time offering 3-5 days per week through October with no evening work.  For more information, stop in the guidance office.
